DokForum wins FemTec-Award

Under the guidance of Dr. Sandra Kiefer from the Chair of Computer Science 7, the doctoral students' forum DokForum has received the Femtec Award 2022 in the Social Impact category. The award is given to individuals or initiatives that foster sustainable social diversity through their own commitment - often in addition to their professional or student obligations.

DokForum is an interdisciplinary independent network of young female scientists at RWTH Aachen University. Its goal is to support female doctoral students and get them in touch with each other so that they can complete their doctorates successfully. In addition to regular informal meetings in a large group, there are smaller teams working on different goals. The doctoral students exchange ideas on both technical matters and interpersonal or psychological challenges in their doctoral studies.
