Wil van der Aalst elected as member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts

The North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts (Nordrhein-Westfälische Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Künste) elected prof. Wil van der Aalst as a new member.

 

In total 15 new members were elected across all scientific disciplines. Membership is awarded on the basis of scientific and scholarly achievement. Members are appointed for life. This honor is reserved for a small group of top scientists. The planned award ceremony is delayed until later this year due to the Corona pandemic.

The North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts is a learned society representing the full spectrum of scientific and scholarly disciplines and advises the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia on matters related to scientific pursuit.
