Phase 1 for Seminar & Lab Registration Started

It is again the time of assignment to places in seminars and practica. On 13.01.2020, the first phase has started.

 

Information on the assignment of places

The assignment of the seminar and practica (lab) happens in two phases. In the first phase, the chairs of computer science prepare a first offer and the students indicate their needs. After the end of this first phase, all chairs of computer science try to adapt the offer to the reported needs.

In the second phase the students enter their detailed personal needs. This phase is completed with the assignment of places. A change of the the general and detailed personal needs is possible anytime before 10.02.2020.

With a good estimate of one's personal needs, there is a high likelihood that the section can also provide a suitable offer and that one's personal needs for a place in the perfered courses can also be met.

If possible, please store your needs (phase 1) until 26.01.2020.

Details on the Necessary Steps

  • Use Personal Needs to enter you personal needs. They should be entered by 26.01.2020. For this purpose, up to two courses can be chosen, Indicate the typ of course you need. You may change the study program. For example, if you are about to graduate and you will be in the master course in the next semester.
  • From 27.01.2020 you may specify your detailed preferences (Wishes) and comments (Comments) for the courses you need. These comments will help the chairs in their selection. From 10.02.2020 to 31.01.2020 this assingment process is planned. If you are only interested in a proseminar, no comments are necessary. Background: With proseminars, there is no selection by the chairs.
  • Use Checking to check your currently entered personal needs and detailed preferences.
  • Use Milestones to get a look at the milestones in the planned schedule of this process.

Important Information about the personal data: Name, given name und email address are taken from the TIM system (Selfservice). In case of a incorrect or old mailadress use the Selfservice to make corrections.

To login on the page we use TIM. Also you have to be enrolled in one of the courses of studies form computer science department. In case of problem during the login process send the data from “Zugang verweigert” to .
