Welcoming new professorship for operating systems

The Department of Computer Science warmly welcomes Prof. Redha Gouicem as the new professor for the Department of Operating Systems.

 

The Department of Computer Science warmly welcomes Prof. Redha Gouicem as the new professor for the Department of Operating Systems, who was appointed on 1 June 2023.

Prof. Gouicem was most recently a senior researcher at the Chair of Distributed Systems and Operating Systems at the Institute of Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich, where he led the OS and Virtualisation team. His research interests at RWTH Aachen University are operating systems, virtualisation, binary translation, hardware/software co-design, scheduling and cloud infrastructures.

We are very much looking forward to working together in the department and wish Prof. Gouicem a successful start.
