Even before you start your studies, you can take advantage of free RWTH internal offers in the field of computer science and mathematics, which can prepare you for your studies and make it easier for you to get started.

Bridge Courses
Computer Science Bridge Course
The computer science bridge course is targeted towards new students with little to no experience in programming. Participation is not obligatory. Your background skills determine whether or not attending is right for you. You must decide for yourself. The bridge course FAQ offers some decision and and offers insight into which bridge course to choose if the computer science and math courses overlap.

Mathematics Bridge Course
The mathematics bridge course offers you solid preparation for your mandatory math courses during the first few semesters. Because math plays an important role in the computer science course of study, we recommend taking the math bridge course to close any gaps in material learned in school and to refresh your math skills.
Online Mathematics Bridge Course (OMB+)
You can use the online mathematics bridge course to optimally prepare for studies in computer science, to refresh your math skills from school, and feel confident working with mathematic concepts and applying basic processes. The OMB+ consists of explanatory texts with many examples, interactive pictures, exercises, and tests, in which you can test yourself. You work when, where, and however often you want. You just need an internet connection with a standard browswer. You can learn alone or together with other course participants in a virtual group tutorial.
Online Mathematics Bridge Course (OMB+)
Online compact course "hm4mint-intensive"
After the success of the last few years, RWTH is once again offering prospective students the compact online course "HM4mint-Intensive".
Pupils can complete the first-semester module "Analysis for Computer Scientists" and take an exam there before they begin their computer science studies. After successfully passing the final exam, the participants receive a certificate of achievement, which they can submit to the academic advisor or the examination board for their studies.
