Commission for Teaching

"The Commission for Teaching Computer Science (abbreviated: KfL) is an institution of the Department of Computer Science. It supports the department and the faculty in the organization and coordination of the study and teaching programs in Computer Science and thus has an important advisory function.

Among other things, the KfL develops recommendations for the coordination and adjustments of the study programs (BA/MA Computer Science, Teaching Computer Science, DS, SSE and MIT). This includes, for example, support in the preparation of draft examination regulations as well as the development of course structures and study plans. In addition, plans for the strategic development of teaching and course offerings as well as forms of teaching are discussed and developed.

The Commission for Teaching makes recommendations on the above-mentioned and other topics, which the department decides whether to implement or reject.

The KfL ensures the quality of the above-mentioned courses on a strategic level, while the respective course advisors, examination boards and the examination office provide any support and make decisions in individual cases.
