Abstract
ChatGPT is a synthesis programme for text and code with results of truly amazing
quality. We will present examples, applications and technology and then focus on what
on what ChatGPT can mean for us as a society. To do this, we look at use cases from computer science, journalism, auditing, medicine and personal life and consider quality, correctness, completeness and originality of text, authorship and documentation requirements. A core issue is that the expectation that systems
such as ChatGPT are as "good" as or even better than humans is a misconception.
ChatGPT as an assistance system, on the other hand, has a good chance in some areas of life,
to increase our productivity by orders of magnitude. For this to happen, however, people must be able and willing to review and assess the suggestions made by ChatGPT, which means a shift of work from creative to reviewing activities. The consequences for education at all levels remain to be discussed.
The video recording of the lecture and discussion will be available later.
You are welcome to pass on the announcements to acquaintances and interested people. Everyone is welcome. You are welcome to draw attention to the lectures by displaying the enclosed posters.
